Article 1: Why this privacy policy? Any person (hereinafter referred to as the “User”) visiting and / or using the RentOut application (hereinafter referred to as the “Application”) or our Services disclose a certain amount of personal data. Personal data is information that allows us to identify you directly or indirectly as a natural person. RentOut collects and processes your personal data in accordance with the relevant legal provisions, namely the European Regulation of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and the free movement of such data. (“Regulation” or “GDPR”). By using RentOut application, the User declares having read this Privacy Policy and expressly accepts the collection and processing of his personal data in the manner described in this document. RentOut reserves the right to make changes to our Privacy Policy at any time. Any substantial change will always be clearly communicated to Users.
Article 2: Who is responsible for the processing of your personal data? RentOut is responsible of the data collect and determines alone the personal data that is collected, the purposes and means of the processing. As Controller, RentOut ensures compliance with the principles of lawfulness and proportionality when collecting personal data. RentOut will collect and process personal data only to the extent that the above data are adequate, relevant and not excessive in relation to the purpose of the treatment. RentOut undertakes to take all necessary steps to ensure the secure processing of personal data.
Article 3: Which personal data is processed? The data we collect is an integral part of the RentOut application and is necessary for the proper functioning of the application. All the data collected allows us to facilitate the user’s connection to the RentOut application. The following is a list of the different data we collect: • surnames and first names; • address, fixed/mobile phone number, e-mail address; • location data; • means of payment; • bank card number; • property rented by the owner.
Article 4: For which purposes is your personal data used? RentOut collects your personal data for the sole purpose of providing you with a safe and optimal user experience. The processing of your personal data is therefore essential to the proper functioning of the RentOut application. If data is missing, erroneous or incomplete, RentOut reserves the right to suspend or cancel certain operations.
Article 5: Changing your personal information As a user, you can change or delete your RentOut account information at any time in the “my profile” section.
Article 6: The exchange space: messaging RentOut provides its users with a messaging function so that they can get in touch with the owner or tenant of a property. RentOut may intervene in public messages and/or delete them if they are deemed indecent or contrary to the law. Messages are not encrypted and can be read at any time if there is a report or to improve the quality of this service. It is not advisable to communicate your sensitive/confidential information on this messaging system. Your payment details will only be requested once for each transaction on RentOut, so you should not communicate them later.
Article 7: Contact Form If you fill in the contact form on the website rentoutapp.be or if you send us an e-mail, the data you send us will be kept for as long as the nature of the form or the content of your e-mail requires it for the complete response and processing of the form.
Article 8: Length of time for storing data Your data is kept for as long as necessary to achieve the intended purposes. They will be deleted from our database as soon as they are no longer necessary for the purpose or if you have validly exercised your right to delete them.
